Minnesota uses the Income Shares model under Minn. Stat. §518A. Both parents' gross incomes minus certain deductions determine Parental Income for Determining Child Support (PICS). The guidelines table sets the basic obligation. A parenting expense adjustment applies based on the percentage of parenting time.
