North Carolina — Income Shares Model
North Carolina uses the Income Shares model. Both parents' adjusted gross monthly incomes are combined and matched to a guidelines schedule. The basic obligation is shared proportionally. NC provides three worksheets: A (sole custody), B (joint custody at 123+ overnights), and C (split custody).
