Vermont — Income Shares Model
Vermont uses the Income Shares model under 15 V.S.A. §656. Both parents' available incomes (gross minus taxes and certain deductions) are combined. The guidelines percentage determines the basic obligation, split proportionally. Shared physical responsibility adjustments apply when each parent has at least 30% of overnights.
